Caring & Mental Health: A Survey of Carers in Lanarkshire

Last year in partnership with North Lanarkshire Carers Together and Lanarkshire Carers Centre, we carried out a survey of unpaid carers in Lanarkshire to find out if they were being affected by mental health stigma and discrimination.

The report with the survey findings is now available to download below and we would welcome all our partners and supporters to share this across Lanarkshire.

Of the carers that left their contact details unfortunately only 2 are still able to help us take a project forward that will aim to tackle the issues raised in the survey report so we are looking for any unpaid carers in Lanarkshire who have read the report that would like to be involved.

Initially we are hoping to hold a development session to find out what is the key priority in the report for carers and from that we will start to form the project and how it might be taken forward.

We understand that time is one thing that carers do not have a lot of so we will do everything we can to accommodate and work around your other commitments. Any meetings will likely be held in Wishaw and if you are unable to attend we will do our best to speak to you by phone or e-mail to keep you up to date with how things are going.

For more information please contact us using the form on this website or by e-mailing sfl@lanarkshirelinks.org.uk with ‘Carer Led Project’ as the message subject.
